Community Living Association for Parents of Special Citizens CLAPS is a parents’ initiative to find a long-term sustainable care and support for persons/ with intellectual disabilities as per RPWD Act 2016. It addresses a key question that parents of these special Citizens have, ‘What after us’? The Community is being established in the village of Neiveli, Thiruvallur Taluk for the needs of Special Citizens, to promote Independent Living and Care of them throughout their life time. A group of 48 families have joined together in this endeavour. Applications are invited for the post of hostel incumbent (female/male). The person would be required to stay in the staff (1 Room Space) during tenure at Claps.
Location: Neiveli, Thiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu (Approx 50 kms from Chennai)
Roles and responsibilities
- Job Position: Residential Estate Manager
- Job Purpose: Ensure safety of people and property, upkeep & maintenance of the property and facilitate Residential Living & Vocational Acitivity of the special citizens.
- Scope of Work:
a) Incharge of Security, Housekeeping, Plumbing & Electrical maintenance of the entire complex
b) Supporting and facilitating the Residential Living and Vocational Acitivities of the special citizens
c) Attending complaints from members towards any service provided inside the complex.
d) Establishing the administrative setup including accounting, formulating & following procedures, and ensuring smooth functioning of the association
Qualification & Experience: Degree / Diploma with minimum 5 years experience in managing a residential complex of more than 50 units
Salary proposed: 40 K per month
Stay facilities: Independent room in Dormitory.
Key skills: Good communications skills, fair knowledge of Tamil, Hindi and English language, Basic Knowledge of Electrical Equipment used in Residential Complexes such as Generators, Motors etc., knowledge of Basic IT skills like MS Word and Ms Excel/Internet, proactive, resourceful and flexible, ready to take on responsibilities
